Our team at 'Eon Aerospace' has started the journey to develop the World’s Fastest Supersonic aircraft. On of the biggest challenges that we look at overcoming is to mute the sonic boom on technical grounds. The aircraft design has been developed with this in mind and will greatly reduce shock waves at various supersonic levels.

Eon Aerospace is currently conducting research to bridge the technology gap by establishing the first-ever bladeless technology for managing the supersonic aircraft through its smaller engines in series 2.0 of the aircraft. This is still however in a conceptual phase and has not been finalised for an actual development date.

What are we up to?

Eon Aerospace is self-funded startup that is pooling together great talent all with the goal to bring the future closer, faster. Breakfast at 9 am in New York and Lunch by 12.30 pm In London sound good? We aim to offer immediate flights from New York to London in under just 3 hours, from Johannesburg to Beijing in +/- 3.5 hours.

The EON nxt-1 will be able to function at a proposed max speed of Mach 1.9 and at a max altitude of 60 000 ft.

Safety

Passenger safety is of utmost importance to us and the aircraft will feature the world’s first ever safe-landing mechanism, which in the event of a complete engine failure or malfunction, the aircraft will still safely land on ground or ocean, minimizing fatalities”.
